Using how


 How is used to introduce questions. It is also used in exclamations. Note that when how is used in exclamations the verb comes after the subject. In questions the verb comes before the subject.
  • How do you know him? (NOT How you know him?)
  • How pretty she is! (NOT How is she pretty!)
How is not used in comparisons.
